My favorite winter activity in Pagosa Springs is ice fishing with Piedra River Anglers!! I cannot say enough about this outfitter & his knowledge of fish, available water, & equipment. Jamie truly loves fish, fishing and he is a true conservationist. I always enjoy fly fishing with him in the warmer months, but the peace, stillness & beauty of fishing through the ice is my favorite! Thanks again Piedra River Anglers!!

Had a fantastic day on the water. My girlfriend and I were total novices, but by the end of the day we were casting (almost) like the pros. Weather was pretty poor, but that made for good catching and a fun time. Instruction by Jamie was superb, as was the knowledge of the different fish and how they acted. Jamie brought plenty of extra layers just in case, and was always willing to help or give pointers. I’m hooked on fly fishing and so is my girlfriend, all thanks to this trip. Absolutely will do it again next time we’re in Pagosa.

Jamie was an excellent guide! Very knowledgeable on the area. He was patient, encouraging and helpful with us newbies to the fly fishing world! A few of us were intimidated going into the day and he made us feel so comfortable!

We had a great day fishing. My family of 4 wanted to go out while we were vacationing in Pagosa - so we had 2 guides- Brad and Jamie . One boat was the novices and the other boat had a little bit more experience. Jamie was quite the instructor! By the end of the day, my 12 year old caught 4 trout and was smiling ear to ear. My husband and other daughter had an equally great time with Brad and might have caught a few more fish Grab your sunscreen and go !!

Awesome trip!! Booked private River, but due to significant snow melt, all rivers were muddy. Our guide took us on a float trip that was amazing. He also had my beginner wife casting with a beautiful back cast in no time. Highly recommend!

Jamie took great care of us. We showed up with zero fly fishing experience and Jamie's instructions, patience and general chit chat was top notch. He put us right on big fish and kept us there all day. We left excited to come back next year! Thank you for an awesome experience!

Weston was a remarkable guide. He took time to instruct my daughter in law, my son and my husband, together and individually. I loved how he was so patient, supportive and excited when they caught their fish. Apparently that Tiger trout is a big deal. 🤗 He even took time with me and I wasn’t even fishing. We all recommend Weston as a guide if you’re lucky enough to book him!

This was the most fun I have ever had fly fishing! Jamie is the best guide to have by your side. Not only does he get you the best set up he also teaches you along the way. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area and the river. We caught a great amount of fish and had a blast chasing them down the river and floating. I feel like I came out of this trip a better fisherman thanks to Jamie. I can’t wait to book another trip!
