Nobody ever answers the phone, you might have a simple question and have to drive/take time out your day to go in person, what’s the point of being a clerk? I’ve been a clerk myself, at some point the only clerk in office and I was still able to answer phone calls and help people in person. They don’t make sailors like they used to.

Every time Ive come in to get paperwork done the staff is in good spirits, extremely patient(especially with though rougher edge attitudes) and they take the time to help each and every customer that comes in. I’m thankful they are here. Wish they were open during lunch hours (maybe like a duty rotation, but it’s completely understandable to take time for lunch and to catch up on paperwork) and other bases but I understand the one major office for all the bases here in SD.

Pretty poor office. Not sure who their leadership is but they need to re-think the way they run their help desk. I was told they could help me as a veteran over the phone and told me to come in. When I visited the office during their office hours, their clerk refused to answer any questions regarding an ethics letter given I wasn't a retiree or dependent. The clerk obviously wasn't a lawyer, so I think some decency in answering a simple question would have been nice.

This place made getting a POA for selling my car extremely easy and fast. They are moving towards digitization and that is surprising with how the navy has been so archaic for so long.

Would recommend coming here for simple legal matters like POA’s and Wills. Usually fast with this paperwork since the direct to you filling out a form on your phone.

YN3 DJ and BM3 Bias showed the highest quality of professionalism. The most helpful employees on 32nd street (wet side), and did not skip a beat when needed a pen and even offered to print all of my documents. Aside from this assistance they also taught me which types of power of attorney would be best for my situation. Would highly recommend to others and will definitely be returning for all other legal assistance.

Had a good experience here. We were able to been seen within about 30 mins time, which was a surprise I thought we would have to wait for hours! There were also multiple people (3 I believe) in the waiting room helping to check you in and fill out the forms properly.

TERRIBLE. Every other governmental office is open even the pass and decal office here at Naval Base San Diego is open with social distancing and ideally appointment only even with a temperature check and the now standard COVID questionnaire prior to entering. But to completely restrict access to the office here at RLSO while keeping senior citizens standing outside in these summer temperatures with nowhere to sit, no shade or pop-up or ANY water available to avoid heat stress is completely deplorable!! With ALL of the mistakes the Navy here in San Diego have made recently you would think they would be made more aware of how there personnel are conducting themselves. Come on NAVY you can do better.
