These people are criminals. My ex wife filed for divorce and despite her telling them not to be dishonest, they filed and won a temporary restraining order against me. There were no legitimate grounds for this order. I am not a violent or aggressive person, nor am I neglectful to my children. I had to leave my children and my apartment that I had been paying for because the lawyer is a dishonest criminal. Then when my ex and I had agreed to terms, the lawyer sent a copy of what should've been our agreed terms and everything had been changed. I complained at their dishonesty and they rewrote it in even more unfair terms. Basically I was a travel nurse a year before the divorce, worked a new job after the travel nurse pay dried up and i was making significantly less and had just gotten fired before i even knew my ex was divorcing me and took a job paying even less. They said they can claim my travel nurse pay (even though legally a significant change in income would have been considered by a judge especially since it occurred before the divorce). On top of this when I complained they illegally threatened my livelihood and reputation if I did not agree to their illegal extortion. I reluctantly agreed under duress and trying to avoid an even more costly legal battle had I hired my own lawyer. They didn't even allow mediation and threatened going straight to discovery which they would've discovered my ex had just as much "community waste" as I had.

Because of the amount they extorted from me for child support I had to leave Texas all together as no job paid me enough where I could have a livable wage due to the high child support and the fact I got saddled with 100% of my ex's debt in addition to my own.

Lastly, after I sent the signature for the papers, they made more changes to it. Technically they should've re-aquired my signature as it was no longer the same document but they used my signature on the previous document and moved the signature page to the new document. This is fraud/forgery.

Summary: they committed felony extortion. They committed felonious fraud in obtaining a false restraining order. They comitted a misdemeanor of fraud in using my signature on a document I did not sign.

These people are criminals and I would only recommend them if you truly hate your spouse that you are divorcing and also don't mind going to jail if someone presses charges for the illegal activities done in your name.

True 5 star experience. Was not looking forward to a long drawn out process in and out of the courtroom but the team here was able to handle everything for me without me having to step foot in a courtroom. Laurel Jones, who was my attorney, was absolutely brilliant. I could not have asked for a better attorney to represent me in this case. He was always interested in my case and in my best interests and didn’t do anything sneaky or underhanded in any way to get the results he achieved. It would be no stars if i could. They shuffled my CS case between three lawyers saying the other two moved to different firms. Finally the time came for medication and had CLAY CALDWELL as my representative. Didn't even help one bit on the medication and it felt like he was against me the entire time ended up loosing in the end and paying a bigger amount then what was agreed upon and getting the rear end of the stick cause my child is 4 hours away from me. NOT VETERAN FRIENDLY THEY WILL MAKE YOU GIVE THEM INFO YOU DONT WANNA GIVE TO THE OAG. VERY DISSATISFIED WILL NOT RECCOMMEND THEM TO ANY VETERANS OR PEOPLE THAT HAVE CS CASES IN HOUSTON.

The only time this office was helpful was when they were getting paid. They are definitely one of the most deceitful and unjust firms I’ve ever used. Three months ago I explained to Bruce that I have a horrid baby mother who manipulates and tells story’s on the OFW app to make me out to be a bad person. I explained she was among my life miserable and that I had spent thousands of dollars already trying to stop her from moving my son away. I told him I needed someone to make it stop and to file an enforcement on the matter. He did nothing. He asked for a $3500 retainer and then proceeded to just drag me along as long as he could. My situation was getting worse and my son’s mom was insufferable and wouldn’t quit. I felt afraid and would call and ask what we were doing and all he did was tell me how much he makes an hour. He wanted me to do all the work and give him dates and times, but he would never get to the point of actually helping me. I became frustrated and called screaming and begging him to help me and he said he would need 5k more. I gave him the money and then waited for three weeks …. He did nothing and never once tired to help me at all. He doesn’t care about his clients or anyone’s situation. He takes money and then just drags em along for as long as he can. His whole office should be punished.

I wasn’t offered to be rescheduled. I was argued with then transferred to your billing team after a 10 minute hold. I said either reschedule or refund me and you guys were not friendly at all and sent me to be refunded. I said I do not wish to play telephone with an attorney.

They do not care nor prioritize you or your case. I had previously booked a consult with an attorney, and when I booked a second console after time had gone by I was not even informed my attorney was no longer there. They booked me to talk with an attorney, but one of the front office people decided to try to do the consult and I said I wanted to speak to an attorney and asked to be rescheduled or refunded and they just decided they were going to refund it and no longer book any consults. You can tell when people don’t care about your case or their job.

It’s a shame Scott Boats is gone.

My experience with Scott Boates and Jennifer has been very positive and most professional. Custody cases require time and money if you desire the best representation possible. My questions and concerns are addressed in less than twenty four hours.
