Have no clue how their service is. They're only open by appointment. No walk-ins. A wasted trip. I wish Google's hours would reflect this.

Very helpful and understandable team. I was instructed in how to make an appointment to renew my license while still outside the building. They gave me a form to fill up and vámonos. A few hours later I came back for the interview which lasted less than ordering a happy meal at McDonald.

The Boerne office is fantastic for personnel. Super courteous, has taken good care of us several times between adults and kids (permits and licenses).

But unfortunately, the wait system is crazy. Having an appointment and waiting nearly an hour to be seen suggests the system is not very well calibrated to how long various tasks take or the tasks are too involved. For example, my application was paper because I wasn't allowed to renew online. Why couldn't at least the paperwork portion been entered online- Has your address changed? No. Has your phone number changed? No. Etc. It would speed things in the office dramatically.

But hey, at least the personnel were cheerful, helpful, and efficient.

My birthday approached and I thought 'no problem' I can renew on my birthday, many have..... Noooo!... You need an appointment, here it is March and I can't get an appointment til mid-June... Panic, no license, no life... Luckily only half of the appointments get booked up in advance and they release slots randomly during the day. I logged in at 10;30am and skipped past the June dates and found one for today, the same day! Had to drive 45 minutes but got it all done today! Yay!!, when things work.

People are treated as numbers and not individuals here. Attitude is everything when you are an EMPLOYEE, especially in customer service, this place is seriously lacking. Also to mention, I had an appointment & wasn’t called until 45mins later. Counter 2 & 3 are some of the rudest employees I’ve ever dealt with. Do better!

BIG thank you to the Texas Department of Public safety in Boerne TX. Instead of making me make another appointment that’s only available in three months, y’all Acknowledged the problem on my MVR and just fixed it knowing it was a mistake that was out of my control. Because of y’all’s professionalism and understanding, my MVR was corrected, processed and I got the job!!!

I wish yall can go to the 6502 S. New Braunfels Ave & 1803 S. General McMullen Dr location and teach them a thing or two about professionalism and how to treat a customer from the moment they walk in to the moment they walk out! 💯

YOU MUST HAVE AN APT. NO WALK INS.
Even though the website says to show up at the office, they do not take walk ins. We were there at 7:50 and in line. A man came out and explained that the online information is wrong and they no longer accept walk ins. You HAVE to have an apt. He explained that he adds same day appointments online every day at 10am. There is a scan code infront of their building ypu can scan on your phone. I was able to get one for 10:30. Everyone inside was very kind and patient with my 4 children who were in tow. Very great DPS experience 🙂 the lady actually gave my kiddos one of her valentiens candies too.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I am in shock at how wonderful my experience was here. Everyone was so friendly, quick, and efficient. I had an appointment at 3:00 and I was out by 3:15 for a new to Texas drivers license. I took a chance because other reviews were so good and I’m really glad I did.
