In need of a Notary Public urgently, I messaged a friend if she was available for an appointment. Away on leave, she suggested I call the Willowdale Community Legal Services and they would be able to help.
A call to the office got me connected to Liyaan (do excuse me if I've spelt it wrong). She was a very polite and professional receptionist who confirmed all the necessary information required from both ends and managed to work through my difficult schedule with patience to find me the earliest appointment within a day.
The visit next day, I struggled with the parking meter which refused to comply with a malfunctioning touch screen. I also needed a code to get a ticket to get free parking. A quick call to the office not only got me the receptionist out to the meter but also 'Joe', the politest of gentlemen I've come across lately, who tried their best to work with the meter with not much luck.
After explaining what I wanted and the necessities, the gentleman (Joe Myers, Executive Director WCLS, himself, I find out later) offered to get the necessary work done and within a short span of time hand delivered them to the car.
I've had the opportunity to have the WCLS represent themselves at all our school events and more and was very familiar with their professionalism, but what Liyaan and Mr. Myers did yesterday was definitely worth mentioning here. They didn't NEED to. Instructions on the phone would have sufficed.
A 5 star review is well deserving.
