Making the decision to file bankruptcy is a very stressful situation. Lindsay Torgerson took most of the stress away by explaining very clearly what the steps were, what I was expected to do and what her follow-up would be. She basically held my hand the whole time, and made sure I filled out the necessary paperwork, sent her all the documentation she needed (which was voluminous!), and explained everything more than once. The Wine Country Family Law & Bankruptcy Team is absolutely amazing and I will always recommend anyone who needs support and guidance in filling any type of bankruptcy to use this office. I found their pricing to be more than fair for the amount of service they provided. I would have paid twice the amount for their service and still felt I was getting amazing support that's worth every penny! They are very experienced and efficient as well as extremely patient. Maybe too patient with me at times due to my unrelenting work schedules and computer/internet technical issues consistently delaying me in getting needed paperwork to them on a regular basis. However, they never gave up on me and always found work around's so we could get everything filed on time. Obviously I have nothing to compare my experience to as this is the first, and only, time I've filed for bankruptcy, but I believe Lindsey did a good job.
I called around to several different lawyers in the phone book and found Lindsey to be the most polite sounding on the phone. It was refreshing to find someone that sounded like they actually wanted to help us.
All and all it was a pleasure to work with Lindsey. She was EXTREMELY helpful walking us through all the head spinning paperwork, what we needed to do next and what to expect. She was also very good at calming my over active nerves when we went to court.
Hopefully you have a computer at home because pretty much everything is done via email, phone and fax. And you should still expect a huge stack of paperwork at the end of the ordeal. My husband is self employed and our stack was about 2 inches thick.
Bottom line, I would recommend Lindsey!! She was polite, professional and helpful.
Her Napa office was easy to find and conveniently located.
