Run. First, I am required to Live Scan as a volunteer. Appointments for this process are scheduled in 10 minutes increments. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment, but stayed in the car until 7 minutes prior to my appointment because there was a sign on the door indicating that they were not in the office, but they were.

When I entered, the receptionist, with whom I have the main issue with, told me they were closed for lunch and to return in 20 minutes. When I said that I had an appointment at 1:50, she then said that they didn't know I was coming. This really ticked me off as (Jasmine, who does the live scan) rescheduled me on Tuesday for my original appointment. When Jasmine called and rescheduled me I told her that my scan had to be completed by Friday. I agreed to come in at 1:50 because that was the small amount of time available to me within their business hours. I agreed to wait the few minutes (at this point, less than 5 minutes) for the scan appointment time. I thought I could sit on their couch, but alas, I could not. The receptionist yelled at me to get out because they were closed, followed me to the door and pushed it closed as I exited.

I go to take the scan and I was informed by Jasmine that the issue was that my address was wrong. Ok, but she is the one that live scanned me last time and used my licence to verify what was on her screen. Fixing this issue required me to do so. (This part not her fault). I decided that I could not wait. I had teenagers in the car and a drive to another city for my cancer treatment. We reschedule for 1:45 the next day. As I was leaving, I asked if I needed verification or an appointment card, since they didn't know I was coming today. Jasmine said no, that I was early (true), and that I interrupted her lunch (for an appointment SHE scheduled) and said that she wasn't going to perform customer service by allowing me to sit on the couch in the waiting area, because it's her lunch.

I think this is a very warped idea of customer service. I will say that Jasmine did try to honor the appointment time, but I think she also should honor her appointments and the customers time. It wouldn't have hurt to have been kind and let me sit while she finished her lunch...and I likely would not have insisted on the start of the appointment on time. Needless to say, she and the receptionist see no problem with not wanting to prioritize a customer for 10 minutes at a time when they should be open and are accepting customer appointments. If you want a customer free lunch, don't reschedule them for your lunch time and don't have your office open for lunch. Take your legally schedule break time at a time when the business isn't open. Or at the least, don't act like the customer is the problem when your scheduling is the problem.

If 0 was an option, that's what I would post. I am not returning for my Live Scan there. I advise others to stay away too.
