Brenden Leydon of Wocl Leydon partnered with his brother John Leydon (John is at a separate law firm) in representing Building One Community before the Stamford Zoning Board as we opposed a cannabis store that was proposed to be located in our building. B1C educates children of immigrant families (among the various ways we serve immigrants), so having a store of this nature in our building was a serious threat to the young people we serve. It was therefore of the utmost importance that we hire the best possible attorneys to represent us, and we chose John and Brenden carefully.
I was the lead consultant for B1C on the matter, and I interacted with our attorneys regularly. John was our primary attorney, but Brenden's role was also critical; he was there due to his expertise in appellate real estate litigation.
